Review of Teote House Cafe

I left a note on their ordering site saying I couldn't have gluten and to call me if I had been misremembering that they were dedicated gluten-free (it is not marketed on their website). They called confirming that yes everything is gluten free, and even made sure I realized one of the sauces had soy, just in case I had other food sensitivities.

The food is wonderful and travels well as takeout. Savory and satisfying but with light, citrusy sauces that balance it out.

This is a great place to go if you want great flavors but have trouble with spicy food. They also have a kids menu with plainer flavor options.

My first choice when I find myself in Portland and need a safe meal.
