Amazing food, gluten free option for most dishes! Must book in advance as they only seat three small tables, wish we had not been so tired as it was the day we arrived. They were so kind and child friendly! Our son is gluten intolerant and they do GF options for most of the menu, I hear they also do sittings privately for celiacs cross contamination however we opted for just choosing gluten free options for our son. Super awesome venue would definitely go back!
— Separate gluten-free menu
Absolute gem especially if you are gluten-free (me and a friend who was in our group are celiac) and struggling with the limited options in Japan. I snagged a picture of their gluten-free menu but unfortunately can't post here: includes specialties like gyoza, okonomiyaki, and seasonally soft-shelled crab. You can order one of their set course dinners entirely gluten-free. So delicious, couldn’t believe some of the things were gluten-free. Everyone agreed it was the best steak we had on this trip, and two in our group went to a dedicated Kobe steak restaurant in Tokyo a few nights before.
Owners Hideki-San and Naoko-San are incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. They have owned this restaurant for 25 years, and you can see the love notes from people all over the world on the walls! Also, they have a house-made plum wine that’s the best we've ever had! Okini to you both!
Reservations for a spot open exactly two weeks in advance and fill up quickly, all the instructions are on the website. You have to tell them you are gluten-free when you make your reservations if you need to be accommodated for that.
