We randomly found this restaurant searching for food in the area & what a treat! The staff were very knowledgeable about celiac safety, cross contamination concerns, etc.
Their arepas are 100% gluten free, stored/prepped/cooked in a separate area.
All of their entrees are 100% gluten free.
Their empanadas are inherently gluten free but share a fryer, so not celiac safe.
Their food was amazing, very filling, and worth the money. It’s an order at the counter and take for take out or sit down to eat style. The friendliness of the staff was the cherry on top of a great celiac safe experience.

Yum! Had the pabellon. Was told it is the most popular choice. Tried both the hot and garlic sauce. Preferred the garlic. Choices clearly marked and patient friendly staff.

I found this place when I was stuck in the area for an entire day for my son’s soccer tournament. I wish I lived closer because their arepas are AMAZING. Both times I’ve been, they were able to tell me about my options and clearly distinguished between totally GF and no-gluten-ingredients-but-using-shared-fryer for me. The last time I was down that way, I got two and ate one rewarmed the next day and it was still great.

Wonderful and inviting staff! 95% is naturally GF. Stay away from the fries, as they share oil!

This is my favorite lunch spot. Excellent food that's gluten free by nature. I don't have to substitute anything. It's refreshing. I highly recommend the #106 Pabellon (shredded beef, black beans, plantain).

I love their food but have gotten sick the next day after eating here. I tried three times hoping it was something else I was getting sick from.

I could eat their arepas all day every day. So good.
My daughter has Celiac and worries a lot about gluten. She absolutely loves Tequearepa. The cheese arepa is her favorite and she has never gotten sick. We all love to go to Tequearepa. Just avoid anything fried... because the Tequenos are fried there (wheat).
Try the pork and cheddar, or the ham and white cheese arepa , very good. The fryer is cross contaminated and there is no gf marked on the menu.
Yes
Excellent food but a little pricey.
Excellent little local shop making really good corn Arepa sandwiches.
