May 2023 -- I have been a patron of Texas de Brazil for ten years now. I am a highly sensitive Celiac and have never gotten sick. Each time, someone from the kitchen walks me through the salad bar. The meats are amazing. I am so grateful for this steakhouse!
June 2017 -- I have been eating here for four years no and have not once gotten sick. Just wanted to update since my last review was in 2013. The food is really good and if you are a meat eater it is well worth the price. Enjoy! --
2013 -- This place was amazing. It was $48 per person, but the CHEF came out to take me around the salad bar to tell me what I could eat, and then he came back to check on me two more times throughout the meal. Of the 30 or so items on the salad bar there were only about 5 I could not eat. Also, they make gluten free cheese bread - it is DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY recommend!!

Delicious, great service, and extremely knowledge about gf. And the cheese bread is gf and phenomenal.
A phenomenal food orgy that is 95% GF. Great service, very knowledgable and will guide you through what is and isn't GF. Very expensive but worth the splurge if you have a big appetite.
Never again! They are using “utility cuts” of meat. Pretty smart, charge a hefty price for the trimmings from prime cuts of steak. The best thing was Shrimp (cooked to perfection), then lamb followed by skirt steak. Yes, the skirt steak was juicy and tender unlike both samples of filets that were full of fat and gristles. Save your money. You can get better steak at Texas Roadhouse for a fraction of the price.

My favorite place to eat, but definitely a splurge. I love coming here because there are more things that I can eat than I can’t. Makes me feel normal and the staff is beyond kind and go out of their way to make sure I leave full

I told the servers that I have celiac, they neglected to tell me the mashed potatoes have flour in them. When I told the manager what happened, he only took $20 off the bill

Went here last night and after telling waitress I needed gluten free, she got the manager. He asked if it was preference and I told him no, I have celiac. He looked confused and I said allergy. He told me that the only thing on hot side of salad bar that I could have is rice, to avoid salami and couscous on salad bar, spicy beef and sausages. I asked why mashed potatoes were not gluten free and he said they put powder on top (very disappointing). I had the pan fried bananas brought to the table, and a few vegetables from salad bar. The bread was GF and good. We had lamb, and different cuts of beef., and creme brulet and flan for dessert (GF). I ended up unable to sleep most of the night with stomach pain and a bad headache. I’m guessing maybe the seasoning on the meat or something on salad bar had gluten, and I am not real sensitive to cross contamination.
We went for Father’s Day so they were especially crowded. I let someone know at the front desk and she had me write down my allergies and she went to the kitchen. There were only a few things I couldn’t have. Also one of the managers came to our table to check on me and let me know that the mashed potatoes and bananas they bring to the table are not safe to eat. All in all I felt it was a wonderful experience.
