We went here for our anniversary. The food was good as normal, except, the cheese bread is no longer gluten free. Such a disappointment! I loved going somewhere where I could have bread. I hope corporate reconsiders this horrible decision!
As of early 2018, their bread rolls are no longer gluten free and we weren't told until we directly asked. Please be careful and ask about everything. We come here annually and were quite surprised of the change.
What a great place to eat gluten free! You can call and let them know you are gluten free, they will mark your ticket and a chef or manager will come out and show you the whole list of gluten free foods. Almost all of their salad bar is gf, all the meat, and especially the little cheese bread balls that come out to the table! The bread balls are made with tapioca flour and are amazing. Our service was great and I left full and satisfied !
I absolutely love this place! This has a great selection of meats, cheeses, and vegetables! The chef comes out every time no matter how busy they are and explains everything that is gluten free. The cheesy bread balls are my favorite I think.
A wonderful array of options! The Chef brought me around and showed me everything I could eat! Great service and gluten-free food. The biscuits are even GF!
A manager or chef points out everything from the salad/sides bar and all meat is gluten free. They even serve bread that taste really good. It is expensive but getting on the mailing list for discounts.
Absolutely fabulous. The meat was unreal. Everything on our table tasted great. Plus gluten free BREAD?!? I read reviews where people said the bread isn't gf and i swear it is. I asked the manager who took me around the restaurant and said what i could and could not eat. She said the bread is made of starch (i read somewhere that it is tapioca starch). The bananas were so good i ate maybe 4 of them lol. My boyfriend said we should go back tomorrow so it is definitely carnivore man approved. ;) Be prepared to spend some money ($100+) but the experience is well worth it. If you are a sensitive celiac like me no need to fear here. You can't eat the mashed potatoes they serve at the table and some things at the salad bar. I just avoided the salad bar completely and loaded up on meat, bread, and bananas.
Excellent food- excellent service. My wife is very sensitive and we both enjoy eating here.
Almost everything at this restaurant is naturally gluten-free, including all of the meats, and the bread that they put on the table. I asked the waiter to walk me through what I could eat at the salad bar, and he brought out the maitre'd, he was extremely knowledgeable, and walked me through the entire salad bar. Each item at the salad bar has its own serving utensil, so cross-contamination is really not an issue. There are very few items on the menu that contain gluten.
This place was amazing! There were so many choices to choose from. All meats at this location are Gluten free and delicious. Also most thing on the salad bar as well. They even have cheese bread that is Gluten free. And you can even finish your meal off with dessert as they have two that are Gluten free .
Staff was very knowledgeable. The chef will come out and tell you what of their items have gluten in them or give you a half sheet with that list of things with gluten in them. All of the meat they came around with were gluten free and I was not affected by any of it and I have celiac. Meats such as steak, pork, lamb, chicken, chicken wrapped in bacon, and more. Also have a gluten free desert!
The food was very good! They offered gluten free cheese filled bread which was also amazing! The manager told us what what gluten free and what wasn't. They were very accommodating knew the gluten free diet! I would defiantly recommend coming here because the food and service was outstanding! I couldn't ask for better!
June 2017 -- I have been eating here for four years no and have not once gotten sick. Just wanted to update since my last review was in 2013. The food is really good and if you are a meat eater it is well worth the price. Enjoy! -- 2013 -- This place was amazing. It was $48 per person, but the CHEF came out to take me around the salad bar to tell me what I could eat, and then he came back to check on me two more times throughout the meal. Of the 30 or so items on the salad bar there were only about 5 I could not eat. Also, they make gluten free cheese bread - it is DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY recommend!!
Everything was delicious but I definitely had a reaction to it. Must have been something on the meats. Service was excellent but be cautious.
The food is delicious! The staff could be better trained on what is and isn't GF but our server was happy to check with the chef for us and even brought us a list of things that contain gluten so we knew what to avoid at the salad bar. He wasn't allowed to leave it at our table for long but it was easy enough to memorize the few items that weren't already obvious. We will definitely be back.
Very delicious and safe. Be sure to ask for a manager to let them know your allergies and they will have your server carry the allergen list with them to constantly double check. All of the meat is GF, and mpst of the salad bar. Even the cheese bread they serve at the table is GF, as traditional Brazilian bread is made with tapioca starch...such a nice treat to be able to eat from the bread basket! Also, the creme brulee for dessert is to die for. I have eaten here 3 times during my trip thus far, and plan to eat one more meal here before leaving. It is quite pricey, but totally worth it! And just for the record, I have severe celiac disease and had no reaction to their food.
Amazing food and service! Meats are marinated with salt, one meat had garlic, but other than that it is with salt only. The manager will walk you around the salad self service bar and tell you what is safe and unsafe to have as well. Sirloins, tenderloins, lamb, pork, sausage, etc. Eaten here a handful of times and have never had an issue. I have Celiac and am very sensitive. They'll make you feel comfortable.
Price. 49.99 per person Service. Great Food. Phenomenal The manager took me around and showed me what I could eat on the salad bar. Basically none of the hot stuff. I also avoid soy for hormonal reasons, and they use soy in some of their marinades on the salad bar. I was able to use straight balsamic and oil for my dressing. The meats were fabulous. I couldn't keep up with all of the meats they tried to give me. Most of them are not marinated. Just use rock salt. A few of them had a soy marinade, but none of the meats had gluten. The bread was awesome, too. The rolls that come on the table are gluten free. Amazing. We will definitely be back, but not too often because of the price. It was about 115 for two meals and two drinks.
This is a traditional Brazilian steakhouse where you are served a variety of meats from a skewer. The manager took us to the salad buffet to tell us what we could eat, and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to eat 90%. All of the meats were safe---and delicious! Even better, the bread is made from cassava flour, so safe. The manager was incredibly knowledgeable, and the service excellent.
Great options on salad bar- not hot dishes, loved the marinated vegetables, gf bread on the table, all meats except sausage were gf. Leg of lamb and top sirloin were my favorites. Took one star for price but overall great dining experience for my sensitive stomach.
I thought this was a wonderful experience! The manager came by to personally identify the gf safe items on the appetizer bar. The safe items were fairly easy to identify, but good to have the guidance because things aren't always as they appear. The place is definitely for meat lovers, but they also have gf cheese bread and several desserts to choose from. Although I didn't appreciate all of the meats, I liked enough of them to proclaim that Texas de Brazil is my new favorite place!
The waiter was knowledgeable and sent the chef out to speak with us. He had a list of allergens and took us on a personal tour of the salad bar. All of the meats are gf and were delicious(which, let's be honest, is why you go here!). Also awesome to actually be able to eat the complimentary bread!
This place was fantastic!! The chef came out and walked me through the entire salad bar to review ingredients! The little cheese breads on the table were delicious! All of the meats were gluten free!! The coating on some of them was Parmesan cheese. Everything was delicious and I had no reaction. Highly recommend!!
Great place for us! We can have the bread thats brought to the table here.. Very few things we cant have off the salad bar, there is a large selection of things that we can have from the salad bar you wont be disappointed. All the meats coming to the table is gluten free! They even have desserts for us and the prices for them is normal!
Excellent Brazilian Steakhouse! I checked with the server who was very knowledgeable about gluten and informed me that all of the meats they were serving that night were gluten free and she went through which items to stay away from on the salad bar. I had an excellent dinner and was not even concerned about getting sick. I will go back again when I am in the area.
The chef came out and explained everything!! We had tons of options and the delicious cheesy bread was GF!
While visiting San Juan and staying at the Sheraton we ate at the Texas De Brazil one night. Very friendly staff and the waiter knew all about gluten free diet (celiac spree). They do not have a menu but had a sheet that listed everything that had gluten in it. It was very good.
I recently ate there at a work Christmas party, I mentioned I had a gluten allergy and was immediately greeted by the manager, she showed me around the buffet bar & showed me everything that contained gluten which was like 4 items.. She also informed me all meat was gluten free except for the sausages, because she was unsure of how they were processed... The cheese bread served was also gluten free! I loved this experience and definitely will be going back!
What a great restaurant. Larry our server was great and sure we wanted for nothing. Eddy the manager came over and personally showed my wife what she could and could not have and even consulted the chef on a couple of items. What a great experience to eat at a place where the staff knows what they are doing and how to serve you. By the way the gluten free bread, cheese bread especially is awesome! Thank you.
Very limited salad bar and sides. Can't even eat the mash potatoes. Suggest Fogo De Chao instead. Almost everything is GF including the entire salad bar and all sides. Meat is better than here as well. Service is also excellent.
Love this place! Salad bar is limited for celiac and those allergic to soy and dairy, but what they do offer is excellent. I've been here several times without incident, and the staff is very helpful and kind.
This is a great place for celiacs to eat here. One of my relatives are celiac and they asked if this is gluten free. The head chef came out and was very helpful and walked my relative through the salad bar and told him what meats were gluten free. Not only could the head chef tell you what is gluten free all the workers could too. This is a great place for celiacs, tastes good, and is hassle free.
