They do not have a dedicated gluten free menu but as soon as I said those words the chef was at my table. He helped me with my order, knew to prepare the foods separately to decrease the risk of contamination, and knew what sauces I should avoid, Highly Recommend!!!

Great place for your basic meat and potato. I've eaten at these restaurants before without issues. Fun atmosphere if you like country music. My favorite part is always the peanuts on the table. Menus are at the table as well and you need to ask for the gluten free menu.
Although this establishment claims to be Gluten Free friendly...I beg to differ. The waitress was rude and acted like I needed a miracle preformed. My options were 2-3 items...no exceptions were made to accommodate my allergy. I ordered the salmon and it was a very expensive piece of over cooked, dry taken out of the freezer piece of fish...yuck!!
Love coming here for a nice steak with a loaded baked potato. The waiter will send over manger to take order for someone with allergy. Cooked my steak in oven with salt and pepper very delicious.
They state they are "gluten friendly" acknowledging there's a good chance for cross contamination. I did get sick. Not safe for celiac.
Not many options and do not trust the gluten free menu. I think they may have gotten rid of it. Don't eat the marinades, seasoning, or salad dressings at all. But, if you find yourself here in a pinch, I always order the sirloin with no seasoning, the baked potato with sour cream not rolled in grease, and a side salad with no croutons and no dressing. I have been fine multiple times ordering that meal. I cannot eat their dressings or the mixed veggies or green beans. I had reactions after those times. It is definitely not celiac friendly and staff are not very knowledgable but they try. That said, I have never had a reaction after sticking to the basics above.
When I asked for GF menu, the server winced and said we're not really safe for people with Gluten allergy. Told him that I just wanted a steak, baked potato and green beans with no seasoning on them. I got glutened anyway. :( Will not be coming back again but I appreciate the server's warning though.
Terrible communication, called ahead the manager said fries were gf, the manager at time of arrival said they are not... Proceeded to list items he thought were gluten free and included Mac and cheese. Ugh. Asked for a steak with no seasoning. Steak was served with seasoning. My poor kid only ate apple sauce for dinner that night.
The website states there if a GF menu, but there is nothing for us to look at. Instead, the manager lists off the VERY few menu items available, including chicken with no seasoning - not even salt and pepper. It's clear by that insult of a "menu" that they don't want to be bothered with our community.
Miserable evening trying to get acceptably safe meal. Celiacs, AVOID! Couldn't do a salad because server reported that both the ranch and blue cheese house made salad dressings contained "high levels of gluten". Server insisted that every restaurant he'd ever worked at had non-gluten free ranch dressing. Not sure what the gluten ingredients were. Ordered a steak and grilled shrimp with NO SEASONING since I couldn't get info on the seasoning. Took 10 min longer than rest of party to get food...and it came with seasoning so server took it back. After our party was done eating, my steak came. I was starved at this point and ate it even though it still was seasoned (but was a perfectly cooked tender steak). 10 minutes later, the server returns triumphantly with my grilled shrimp...with a grilled dinner roll laying across the shrimp!!!! At that point I just asked server to take it away. He finally brought a third attempt at shrimp, which I unfortunately ate (and they were yummy) but clearly still were covered in seasoning. This is now over 45 minutes after rest of party got served. The manager did comp my meal, but I suffered later with joint inflammation as I suspected was going to happen. If you have any gluten sensitivities, avoid this location of Texas Roadhouse even though they have great food!
They have a menu that is labeled "gluten friendly" and it is very limited. The sauces, seasonings, marinades and even butter apparently have gluten. They do not have a designated gluten-free fryer nor gluten-free grill space. After joining family there I opted just to drink my angry orchard and be happy with it. Salad was offered gluten-free with no croutons and only vinegar and oil. i didn't trust the vinegar. The peanuts were good and I ate a handful with no issues. My son did order a steak with only salt and pepper and a baked potato (no toppings) and didn't have a problem. I don't think I will be going back to this chain...there are too many other places that do a much better job.
Manager came out and discussed with me how she could make the most gluten free meal possible. While she could not guarantee no cross-contamination, she was very helpful in getting me an unseasoned piece of chicken to cook on the grill and explained which sides would be safest (house salad).
The gluten free menu is extremely limited and I was told several times that it is "gluten friendly" not "gluten free". As someone with celiac, this was a red flag, but I was there with a group of 14 so couldn't really leave. The server tried his best but the manager couldn't care less. It took three attempts to get a steak I could eat and I had to ask for half off my meal when it should've been offered. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone with gluten sensitivity or worse.
I've eaten here twice. Both times, the manager makes me feel so uneasy with the whole "we can't guarantee" speech. However, my Celiac sister and two Celiac daughters love the steaks here. None of us got sick either time, even though the glasses were so dirty that I couldn't allow myself to take a chance by drinking the water. I had to go to my car for bottled water. My daughters drank the water with no problems. The steaks are terrific, and I love the baked sweet potatoes with butter, brown sugar, and roasted marshmallows. We order the loaded baked potato AND the baked sweet potato, since the sweet potato is more like dessert! We've never gotten sick here, but sometimes they bring us steaks without even salt or pepper.
Before going, I looked at their GF options online- they offered a steak kabob - steak and grilled veggies, no rice. Had to be ordered with NO marinade and no seasoning, other than salt and pepper. Talked extensively to the waitress, explained Celiac and the seriousness of my request. Asked if the manager and kitchen have special protocol for food allergies, etc... She assured me that my order would go to the manager. I ordered the steak and veggies, NO marinade, NO seasoning, just salt and pepper. Also ordered a baked potato, and asked if their sour cream is GF (I know that most is, but one local restaurant insists theirs isn't, so I always double check). 40 minutes later, FOURTY, our food arrives. My steak kebob is dripping in marinade, and a dry baked potato. I knew I wasn't touching the meat, but asked about sour cream or butter. She said that "nobody knew" if they had gluten. I said, "Isn't it just butter"? "Yes, but it's whipped.". "Is there anything else in it?", "Nobody in the kitchen knows". Then she argued with me that the marinade was fine, even though their own menu and their menu online stated that it was NOT. Yeah, so I waited 40 minutes for a dry baked potato. So disappointed. She then offered to go back to the kitchen and have it remade with no marinade (imagine that?! The way I ordered it!!!!). I told her no thanks, at this point it had been a full hour since I originally ordered, and I had ZERO confidence in their ability to handle food allergies. Will never go back.
They do have a gluten free menu, which is probably short enough that it could fit on a 4x6 notecard. They can make steak, pork chops, chicken, or steak kabobs gluten free, but they don't offer any seasoning. They would not even put mushrooms and onions on my steak because those were seasoned. They also had about four side dish options and a couple of salads. That said, the server was knowledge and the steak was good, though nothing I couldn't have made at home. The peanuts were a nice alternative to bread and made me feel slightly better about missing out on their famous rolls.
Small GF menu good food. Ask for menu management also comes by to check in before you order. Can call in an hour in advance for GF roaster chicken
Can't have any seasoning on the meat, can't have a baked or sweet potato because they are fried, can't have their butter (they say). Managers will come and speak to you about the preparation which is nice but their is cross contamination and not many options other than steak with plain steamed veggies.
Small GF menu, but my steak and vegetable choice was expertly cooked and delicious. Explained to our server, Brady, that I'm Celiac and he took very good care of me and made sure everything was safe. The manager came by several times, too. If they get more folks coming in who must eat GF perhaps they will increase the number of GF choices they offer.
I've been here 3x since being diagnosed with celiac. Never gotten sick. They have a limited gluten free menu. However, if you are going for steak then you are pretty safe. The GF menu will state how to order, i.e. no seasoning or butter brush on steaks, no croutons, etc. Salad dressings are limited so think ahead and bring your own. They do offer a few sides like potatoes- baked & sweet as well as seasonal veggies. No rolls of course w/that crazy yummy butter but there is always peanuts! Buckets and buckets of peanuts! Staff has always been understanding and helpful. Love this place!
