My partner didn’t feel sick after having the steaks. The waitress gave her a paper with recommendations of gluten free options on the menu but they don’t have a GF menu.

Very limited menu and no gf appetizers. Our waitress was extremely sweet and sat down with me to go over the options I did have from the gluten free menu. I didn’t get sick but I do with there where a few more options like some appetizers, more dressing options and gravy for potatoes.
Ugh! Asked for steak without seasoning. After first bite I knew it had been seasoned. I told the waitress I was sure the steak was seasoned. She went to the kitchen to ask the chef and came back and said they had not seasoned my steak. I was sick within 5 bites.
They have a GF menu and great attention to detail for allergies.
Yes
I've been here 3x since being diagnosed with celiac. Never gotten sick. They have a limited gluten free menu. However, if you are going for steak then you are pretty safe. The GF menu will state how to order, i.e. no seasoning or butter brush on steaks, no croutons, etc. Salad dressings are limited so think ahead and bring your own. They do offer a few sides like potatoes- baked & sweet as well as seasonal veggies. No rolls of course w/that crazy yummy butter but there is always peanuts! Buckets and buckets of peanuts! Staff has always been understanding and helpful. Love this place!
This was probably the best GF meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant! I asked for GF menu, our waitress had one with her. I ordered the Steak Kabob with no rice. Mashed potatoes with no gravy and a side salad with oil and vinegar no croutons. They brought out the salad with a small container of oil and another small container of red wine vinegar so I could add as much or as little as I wanted. I really appreciate that! Then the Kabobs and mashed potatoes came out… absolutely fabulous! I was so shocked. Will be adding Texas Roadhouse to my favorites list ❤

Texas Roadhouse is usually a good chain for gluten free. This was not my vest experience with them. I ordered my food with allergy prep. When my steak come out, it had a stray piece of a not-gluten-free topping mixed in, which was highly concerning. They remade my steak and the manager brought it out. Granted, it was extremely busy and I was with a large party. In the end, I did not get sick. This is probably a decent stop for GF, especially considering there didn't seem to be much else in the area. This was an obligatory dinner stop on a road trip.

I ordered pick up from the gluten free menu. Steak, baked potato, and steamed broccoli. No extras since I was picking up and could add my own toppings at home. Everything was delicious and I did not have any reactions.

Very few options that would be safe. Their seasoning is not gluten free and they put it on EVERYTHING! My Celiac daughter wanted corn, couldn’t have it….baked potato? Nope, they cover the outside with bacon grease and seasoning. After a lot of discussion we ended up with a steak with no seasoning and a side of broccoli.

Yes, this is a chain, and has been safe go-to if available during our roadtrips. This location is near our home-base. They do have GF options on their website. My husband likes it there bc there are more GF options to choose from for sides. So far no reactions (knock on wood). Aside from most of the steak options, the ribs (bbq sauce or rub) have been alright for him.
Perks for me: the warm rolls with cinnamon butter, not to rub it in :)
