Gluten free well indicated on the menu. However you must stress the importance of it to the waiter to relay to the kitchen.

My waiter was not knowledgeable about celiac disease at all. They kept answering my cross contamination questions with, “if it said GF on the menu you’re safe.” As I took a couple of bites I realized there was fried tofu in it. I inquired whether or not they were fried with other things and told me they only use cornstarch as batter for other food items. The response seemed choppy and hesitant so I inquired with someone else and they said it’s fried in the same frier with non-celiac safe items. The waiter was apologetic and said they would take this as a learning experience but I still had a reaction. Disappointed.

Thai Basil was an easy and enjoyable experience. GF menu items are clearly marked, with ample options. They also let you explain your allergies and restrictions during the online ordering process. The pad thai was delicious and generously portioned (enough for three meals!). I just wished it had more veggies.

They have food marked GF. It seemed like they understood allergens and took extra measures. Food was delicious and I did not get sick.

I’ve eaten at Thai Basil many times and they are super knowledgable about gluten allergies, celiac and gluten intolerances. My food has always been clearly marked GF when we do takeout and the server brings my food out separately than the rest of my party, usually before them, in order to show me that she knows which is mine and that they have made it separately. They also have a dedicated GF space on their menu but can make many other items that aren’t on that portion of the menu in a GF way... simply by omitting certain ingredients. Apart from their dedication to GF eating, the food is excellent and the prices very reasonable. Their pad Thai is wonderful, as is their green curry, and the mango coconut rice dessert is to die for. I will keep coming back!!!

The staff was very knowledgeable about the GF options. The menu clearly labels which dishes are GF and the staff walks you through the cooking and kitchen process. I’m highly celiac and I’d feel very comfortable eating here again!

The food was good. The menu labels GF items. They didn't go out of their way to reassure me or anything, but they seemed to know what I was asking for. Just a little nonchalant...
Very safe. They take care to make sure nothing is contaminated and also modify dishes for other reasons such as nightshade intolerance. One of our favourite and safe places.

We have been to this location several times and have not had any issues. Make sure you tell your server that you are Celiac and they can run through the options with you.

My wife has gluten, soy, and dairy allergies. During our three day stay in Toronto we visited this location twice. The service is fantastic and the food equally so. Everything was clearly marked and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Just wish we had one of these close to home.
