Review of Thai Continental Cuisine

106 Market St SE, Roanoke, VA 24011

Overall Rating

Review

Looks like lots of places in Roanoke, VA have good GF options. Unfortunately, none of them are open on Sundays when we passed through on a trip. Thai Continental is right downtown, easy walking distance of the Pinball Museum. We ordered some takeaway, and the person at the register seemed to have the basic idea of making sure I was avoiding gluten. We ordered summer rolls and chicken pad Thai. At the hotel, I was really hungry and just started munching on the summer rolls with the sauce on the side *which I never do.* I always double check. But darned if I didn’t this once and I sure got glutened. Called the restaurant and asked what it was; they read the ingredients. Third ingredient? Wheat flour. Ugh.

Also, the pad Thai had weird red orange noodles and wasn’t very good.
