We had a lovely experience eating here! One of the servers (and I think owners) understood completely when I told them I had celiac and was allergic to gluten, because she couldn’t eat gluten either! We ordered the panang curry (all of the curries are gf), the spicy sweet basil with chicken which they altered to be gluten free, and the garden vegetable combo which they also altered to be gluten free. Everything was SO DELICIOUS!!! I didn’t get sick after, and they were super kind and helpful in making sure I felt comfortable and safe eating there.
We got there at 6pm on a Saturday, right before it started to get super busy. I would think the busier it gets, the harder it is for them to guarantee they can take their time to prepare everything very carefully; same with takeout (which is how I feel for most takeout since you can’t be there in person to clarify and make sure you get the exact order you asked for).
I called ahead before I ordered to make sure their pad Thai was gluten free and then I called again to place my takeout order and was assured once again that it would be gluten free and celiac safe. I got glutened and was sick for a two days :/ Food wasn’t too bad but not worth it.

Awesome Thai food at The Rock in Truckee! We ordered Thai Basil Tofu and Thai Basil Chicken. Fresh, crunchy veggies and a spicy sauce. And, the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable when I told them I was gluten-free. All curry dishes can be prepared GF, and Pad Thai noodles as well.
Amazing Thai food, wonderful service! Their menu does not list which items are GF, but does say, "Please let us know if you are allergic to anything." Staff is very knowledgeable and attention to detail is wonderful. Husband is not GF and my plate contained nothing I couldn't eat, while his had the typical gluten-containing items (little fried dumpling and crunchies in the salad) that are usually included. Green chicken curry was delicious, green papaya salad was divine, pad Thai side was flavorful and everything was fresh and beautifully presented. This place is a hidden gem!
