cute thai place on a really nice little strip of alexandria. the staff knew their menu well and they took extra note when we mentioned we're celiac.
unfortunately for vegetarian options the soups are chicken broth based, and the tofu isn't safe, but their vegetables were great.
We got take out from here and really enjoyed it! We ordered vegetarian options and were told the tofu was made in a shared fryer so we got just veggies instead. The pad see ew was maybe some of the best we’ve ever had gluten free. We also got the veggie panang curry which was also really delicious. Per recommendation from prior reviews here, we still let the restaurant know we had celiac and needed our ordered flagged for gluten free - we really appreciated the extra caution they took. It’s still a shared cooking space so there’s always risk, but we felt ok after!
Great little date night spot when you want some delicious food in Old Town! I had the crab fried rice and we split the summer rolls. So much food. We also each had a cocktail. The service was exceptional. We did not have anything fried based off the reviews here that while marked GF they are in a shared fryer. I did not inquire about the fryer as there are plenty of non fried options that all looked amazing.
Went here twice because the food was so good. Talked to two different people and they were both knowledgeable about gluten free, emphasizing that they try to make most of the menu gluten free to accommodate. They also mentioned they use new/clean pots/pans to cook the gluten free items when you mention a gluten allergy. When I mentioned a gluten allergy, they even asked to clarify celiac, which was a very pleasant surprise. Food was DELICIOUS. Some of the best Thai food I have had in a very long time. They even had BBQ pork, which I rarely find! No reaction after getting their signature fried rice, fresh summer roll, edamame, pad thai, khao moo dang, and khao moo grob.
Absolutely delicious food! The menu clearly marks gluten and other dietary restrictions, as well as notes that if you have strict needs, they will let the chef know and provide various accommodations. I highly recommend the chive dumplings and the green curry.
Genuinely such amazing food! The staff was very helpful and explained that everything that was gf was marked on the menu. Everything tasted great and I felt really confident eating their with celiac
As a local, I frequent this place probably once a week. I’ve tried four of five different dishes and have always been safe. Their soy sauce is GF and DELICIOUS, their menu is clearly marked, and the prices are reasonable - especially for the King St area. I always say I’m celiac and they know exactly what I’m talking about. If you’re in town, please do yourself a favor and stop by!
Wow, I loved this place. Went twice in one week, no reactions. They seemed pretty knowledge. The fried options are not gf. A few options marked on the menu as gf are not gf due to being fried.
One mishap was when another gf friend of mine got a pork curry. They put fried shallots (not gf) on top. So, make sure to ask for no fried shallots.
Amazing Thai food! Their menus are labeled with what dishes can be made gluten free and we also checked with the waitress. The chef even came from the kitchen to double check the gluten free note on our order before cooking. My friend and I split 3 dishes (with lots of leftovers) - chicken Pad Thai, pork Signature Fried Rice, and beef Drunken Volcano/Noodles. This is what I’d always order prior to going gluten free at a Thai restaurant, so it was very special having the opportunity to have all of my favorites for the first since since going gluten free. It was all so delicious and we were honestly wondering how they made it taste so good gluten free. The atmosphere is also adorable!
Best Thai food! They have so many GF options listed on the menu. Full of flavor and taste almost too good to be gf!
They had a number of items that were clearly marked on the menu. Not our favorite Thai place but did the job. Two of us have celiac and felt fine after!
I can’t wait to eat here again. The gluten free food had so much flavor! The pad Thai and green curry were delicious. When I placed my order to go, they put it in computer only as gluten free which made me a little uncomfortable, however I felt great after eating their food with no pain or discomfort at all.
Wonderful food, with a good selection of gluten free. The green curry is excellent. The servers are also quite knowledgeable, which is great as there are a few gluten free items on the menu that aren’t safe for celiac. Anything fried is in a shared fryer, which they brought up as soon as I tried to order something. I’ve eaten here a few times without issue.
Delicious food and so many options clearly marked on their menu. Can’t wait to visit again!
Excellent food. I've gotten delivery from them several times now. The food has been great and I haven't gotten sick. I've gotten the Panang curry and the Pineapple fried rice, which they kindly prepared without egg at my request. Highly recommend.
With the use of gf soy sauce the majority of this menu is gf. They were clear with me that it is a shared fryer so I stayed clear of any fried items (otherwise not made with gluten containing ingredients) as I’m celiac. Word of warning, some of the fried items are marked as gf because they don’t contain any gluten ingredients but cross contamination remains a concern with those dishes. We tried the pad see ew, green curry, and drunken noodles. All three were absolutely delicious. We also had the edamame to start and I want to try the fresh spring roll next time as that is also gf. Despite the issue with a couple fried items being marked gf the staff were all very knowledgeable and took my dietary needs seriously. It also didn’t hurt that the restaurant itself is very cute with a cool layout. This will definitely be a frequent stop for me! I’m writing this a day later and I did not get sick (the true test).
Went to dinner on Valentine’s and the food was beyond delicious. My husband is DF and I am GF and DF, neither of us had a reaction to any of the food we had. Beef drunken noodles were amazing!
