Thai Street Cafe

I was hopeful about this place because Thai food is often easily made gluten free and we were with friends that have been here before and really wanted to go. This place is clueless. I asked the server about potential options and he said he’d go back and check with the cooks. He came back and told me a thing on their menu that was the safest option. That item specifically listed sweet soy sauce as an ingredient on the menu so I asked him if they would leave the soy sauce out or if they could make it without and he said no it will be fine. I asked him if they had gf soy sauce and he wondered if it was the one with the green lid? Clueless but nice enough. I didn’t trust him at all so I ordered plain white rice and plain mixed vegetables without any sauce or seasoning (he came to check on our table multiple times and he kept asking me if I just didn’t like spicy stuff). I didn’t get sick and it was reasonably good for what it was, but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you have other options.
