The Arepa Republic

The only problem with this place is that it is way too delicious!!! I eat here weekly - all the arepas are SO delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough. Everything except for the tequeños are GF. Eat your heart out.

I ordered the La Pelua and the yuca fries. My wife ordered the Reina Pepiada. It was all delicious, some of the best arepas I've had.

Everything on the menu is gluten free except for the Tequeños. It looks like they are on top of cross contamination and offer vegetarian and vegan options as well. Felt very comfortable eating and no reaction. I only wish it weren't 3.5 hours away from where I live so I could eat here all the time...!

This is a Venezuelan restaurant that mostly operates a takeout business although there are 2 or 3 tables for dining in. Almost everything on the menu is Gluten-Free; the staff are knowledgeable about Celiac; and there is a dedicated fryer. My daughter and I are both Celiac and we felt completely safe. We both had arepas - they were delicious and one arepa was perfectly sufficient for lunch. My daughter lived in Caracas for a few years and declared the food to be authentic. A good spot for lunch if you travelling in the area. Recommended.
