The Bar Room and Kitchen was my local favorite before going gluten free. I recently went there for dinner. I ordered safe, burger (no bun) and fries. My boyfriend got a chicken dish off the special menu. When it was delivered, I asked, "is that gluten free"? The waitress said, "Yes". After eating his leftovers for two days, an onset of fatigue, bloatedness, and trouble sleeping, I knew it couldn't have been. I phoned the Bar Room and requested the person who answered to ask the chef if he puts flour on the chicken. Low and behold, he puts flour on the chicken. Glutened again! Darn it. I gave it three stars, because I was informed the chef can make the dish without putting flour on the chicken by special request.
