I'd like to take a moment to reply to Mrs. Pam review. I am the maître d at The Basil. My name is TJ. I have gluten intolerant also. I knew when I had a gluten meal in my system after I accidentally eat them. It is not pleasant at all.

All curries at The Basil are gluten free except Roasted Duck Curry, as we marinated the duck with sugar, soy sauce, spices and herbs.

Other dishes that are naturally gluten free let's say Pad Thai ; we use rice noodle and apple cider vinegar sauce base with sugar and paprika. However some other restaurants may use wheat noodles or even malt vinegar to cook with.

Pra Ram; this delicious entrée cooked over a low heat : the choice of meat is placed over fresh spinach and broccoli with creamy thick curry sauce. Be sure to say no to fried onion as we coated fried onion with wheat flour.

There are plenty of gluten free meal to choose from our menu. Some of them could be made gluten free if you ask for.

Mrs. Pam, I am sorry if you had unpleasant experience after dining with us. We do our best to making sure that everything is in order , enjoyable and safe for people to eat in our restaurant. Just a quick note, lunch items come with cabbage tofu soup(gluten free), salad with peanut dressing (gluten free), choice of jasmine rice or brown rice( except noodle dishes, they do not come with rice) and the last one on the plate is fried wonton a.k.a wheat cracker ( this is a no no for gluten intolerant person) most of the time we hold this cracker out of your plate.

If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer. Simply by calling me at The Basil. Thank you.
