Great pub with a proper village atmosphere and an extensive bar list. The food is substantial both in size and choice and there is a dedicated gluten free menu.
The land lady is lovely and her mum is coeliac so they understand GF separation and cook the chips in separate oil in the fryer. A number of GF desserts which pleased our kids.
Meals are relatively expensive for pub food but mostly due to portion sizes. We definitely recommend and a pretty village too, the pub is clearly the go to place for the locals.

The guys at the bell are absolutely amazing when it comes to the needs of our daughter. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Lyn and the team take the time to go through what’s available on the menu that is GF and even have separate GF menus available.
It’s my 3 year old that has CD so the larger portions are often too big. But between us and the team at the Bell we find a way of making a smaller portion.
Cannot recommend these guys enough.

Overwhelmingly generous gluten free menu with order taken by staff confident in coeliac needs. We enjoyed lunch outside with our dogs. I had a Philly cheesesteak baguette (a little dry inside needed a sauce) w fries, and a shared side of halloumi fries (delicious). All large portions for lunch! We then ordered the sundae to share, the waitress said I couldn’t have the nuts and bits as they were stored with the Oreo bits so she substituted with an extra scoop of ice cream which was fine with us. I would definitely return to try more things on the menu when back in the area.
