The savory crepes are buckwheat flour: all sans gluten! Some of the deserts are as well.

The food is astonishingly good compared to the States! The champignons are 🧑‍🍳💋

Made a reservation for 11am, we didn’t get our food until noon, and I specifically stated that I am celiac. They must have two different batters because my crepe looked different than my friend’s and different from the majority of other tables’ crepes. The waiter initially said my crepe was gf, but there was something wrong, mine was supposed to have prosciutto, but my friend’s was supposed to have ham, but they were reversed. Hers looked different from the rest of the restaurant’s crepes so I re-asked before we ate anything. Waitress said we had them backwards. That the gf ones look very different. So we switched plates, and I confirmed again a few more times. But unfortunately, exactly 3 hours after eating I had a gluten reaction. Ruined my last day in Quebec. Vomited in front of the parliament building and the group of tourists sitting there with me at the end of the tour we were on. So embarrassing. Do not recommend.

My son with celiac was so happy to find a place that had GF crepes! The food was excellent and the service was excellent! It’s a place with GF that the whole family can enjoy and share food. Highly recommend!

The Billig is a charming little restaurant, but diners should know that this place serves crepes almost exclusively, which the server said are all gluten-free. I chose this restaurant because other reviews indicated it offers gluten-free pancakes. This is false. If you love crepes, The Billig is a great choice for you, but if you want any other carb-y food, such as pancakes, waffles, or muffins, you'll be disappointed. They also have a small vegetarian section on the menu that could offer more.
