The Block Public House

Amazing! This restaurant has the same owners at the 1886 Lakehouse Bistro and Callander (see my glowing review). I had high expectations because of how much I love the Lakehouse Bistro and it did not disappoint! I would say the Block Public House is more of a fine dining experience. I got the pork belly and the flavours were out of this world good. Their Caesars are gluten free and the Cochrane Caesar was sooo good. One of the top Caesars I’ve ever had. All gluten free items are marked on the menu. The menu online has even more options marked as GFO (gluten free option), and can be made gluten free with tweaks.

Editing to add that the owners of the Lakehouse no longer own the block, so I cannot speak to the ongoing quality of food and safeness for the celiac community any longer. Be sure to check out the Lakehouse in callander!!!
