This was our group's favorite restaurant. Very good GF options -- hanging kebab was delicious.

The gluten free options were very poor the vegan pie was gluten.fee and very nice but the only thing I could find .

No GF menu here. Was brought the smallest burger pattie without the bun with a mouthful of spinach.
When our server asked if all was okay, he then seemed quite perturbed when informed that it wasn't. The meal was completely unacceptable.
Their only saving grace was that they then zero'd the bill.
Will not eat there again and would not recommend. Only given 2*s due to the meal being free!

Waiter had a mum that was coeliac so knew when ordering the importance. There was a separate GF menu that you scanned the QR code for. Ws advised there is a separate preparation area in the kitchen. Food was lovely. GF my daughter had was the Thai prawn hanging kebab.

I had the hanging chicken kebab with chips (which was very yummy) and the waitor knew exactly what I was talking about when I said Coeliac so I felt in very safe hands. No reactions after eating there.

There isn't a separate gluten free menu , you scan a QR code and click gluten free option this shows what choice they have available safe to eat. I chose a hanging chicken kebab this came with fries, the waiting staff had already been aware of me being celiac, they were very helpful and the meal was delicious 😋 , I had no problem whatsoever after my meal.

The server was extremely careful about making sure the kitchen knew what should be GF, and he also reminded me when the food arrived of which things weren’t safe for me. Their online menu is searchable by the filter “non-gluten” and there are tons of options. We had the lily pad sour cocktail, the halloumi skewers, the pork belly skewers, the sweet chilli fries, and the onion petals with crème fraiche. Definitely not a light meal, but everything was fantastic. I don’t usually like live music, but they had a great singer-guitarist doing a music trivia night. Lovely pub feel without the extreme noise level. I definitely recommend The Botanist!
