Closed n the winter, was looking forward to this, no notice on the bad website that it's closed nothing, drove down with the whole family only to find out by asking in the talbot pub next door, very unprofessional, it should state it's closed on the website, it's not rocket science c'mon guys, just time wasting

Large portion, fresh fish, decent chips, reasonable price. Friendly polite staff. Made us gluten free fish suppers without any issues, however was told gluten free should requested ahead of time. Also food was served in takeaway boxes to be eaten outside on picnic benches. Was a lovely September evening so not a problem (also pub next door) but would have liked to have known prior to arriving. All round nice experience, the very friendly neighbourhood cat was an unexpected bonus!

Tried to go for a meal on Saturday 16/9/23 - arrived around 8:20pm and was closed. Nothing on the linked website page to suggest there would be a closure. “Hatch” was open and was able to eat however menu is not as extensive. They accommodated a GF fish and chips order with no issues. Drinks can be purchased from The Talbot pub next door.

Most of the menu is GF, my little girl who is Coeliac was able to choose from a wide range of meals. I had the GF fish and chips which was amazing. They were very clued up and very busy so do book in advance

The whole menu is pretty much gluten free, we were in heaven. We had homemade chicken katsu burgers, this was actually coated chicken in a bun too and also the homemade battered cod and thick homemade chips. We chatted to a lovely member of staff who explained that a new head chef came along and that's when the menu was changed, she wa unsure if the chef was gluten free them self but they certain have made the menu a gluten free haven. When told about my daughter having coeliac even though the menu states GF everywhere she also made sure that the kitchen knew as an extra precaution. Highly recommend.
