I have Celiac and love to hear when a restaurant offers GF menu items. My husband brought me to The Bridge for a date night and after hearing how there’s a lot of GF items available, I was bummed to see that nothing was labeled on their menu and they state on their menu that while they have GF options, there is risk for cross contamination. The server wasn’t as knowledgeable about what was GF and told me that breakfast had more options. I ordered the ribeye that was on special and wanted the herb roasted potatoes as a side but the server said that the cook was unsure if the herb roasted potatoes were GF. The cook should definitely be knowledgeable about ingredients used in the dishes they send out, especially in regards to a patron with allergies or Celiac. My ribeye was ok and really could’ve used seasoning and the green beans tasted like they were canned green beans. They had a nice sized variety of desserts on display as you entered but only one dessert was labeled GF. As someone that loves dessert, I miss having options. The employees are very friendly and I enjoyed the atmosphere but my food lacked flavor and the staff and cook weren’t very knowledgeable about GF options. My husband ordered a burger, which he loved, but he didn’t eat much of his fries as they were those frozen thick crinkle cut fries. Overall, I would be leery about recommending this restaurant to anyone with Celiac unless they can ensure a dedicated GF kitchen area.
