Don’t rush out to visit this joint. It’s styled itself as a eco-friendly-gastro-burger-joint, with a slick on message website. They probably do source locally and responsibly as claimed, but it’s really just a rather expensive Chic-Fil-A (if you’re familiar with the US chain), but without the prompt service. Our burgers were really small, too small for twelve and a half quid, and the chips and slaw were nothing particularly special. They had a decent amount of items labelled as gluten free, but I’m not entirely convinced they get the risk’s of cross contamination when it concerns people who suffer from celiac disease and despite our questioning the serving staff and manager about menu options and serving conditions and space in the kitchen, one of our party is now suffering from a swollen and painful belly indicative of gluten contamination. A disappointing experience.

We have had a takeaway and also eaten in the restaurant. Both times excellent choice and food.

I had a burger with no bun (although gluten free buns are available) and French fries. They take care against cross contamination and have a dedicated fryer. I am super sensitive and had no issues. I was with a friend who is also super sensitive and she also had no issues
