Amazingly extensive gluten free menu! Dedicated fryer, fried food, fried pickles!, gf desserts (not just ice cream), the list goes on. Staff is very educated and attentive. Disappointed that their gluten “free” beer is Omission (which is “gluten reduced”), but that’s the only negative (other than they’re kind of far from where I live).

I am the most sensitive celiac you will ever meet. This is the only restaurant I will go to in the area. Since finding it nearly two years ago, I’ve happily had every birthday and anniversary celebration for all of our family here. Even though I’m the only Celiac, everyone (from Grandparents to toddlers) love it! The food is really good — and super safe! In all that time, I’ve only gotten sick once, from a salad. Since then I’ve avoided salads and have had easily over a hundred safe, yummy meals. I highly recommend The Cabin!

We just had an incredible meal at the Cabin. The owner, John, greeted and seated us personally. Upon hearing that my son would need the gluten free choices he went over each and every choice and the measures that they use to ensure safety. I should note that my son is not Celiac but must go on a gluten free diet for another sickness. Oh my there are so many choices. Pretty much the whole menu can be gf in it's own dedicated fryer. My son is PICKY and he loved his meal. Also, 5 out of 6, of the desserts can be gluten free and they looked incredible. To add to this, our waitress Gretchen was amazing. She was friendly and knowledgeable and her service was amazing. I highly recommend this hidden gem for the food and service. We are lucky to be only 15 minutes away. Will be back often.

My rule of thumb is to only eat at places where there is a Celiac, or someone with a family member with the disease. So I wanted to give this place a try. I guess that the owner has the disease, but may not be as sensitive as some of us. When I found out that they use shared equipment and common areas, I decided that I could not eat here and risk it. Do you clean the toaster after a family member used it, or do you have a seperate toaster? They may be ok for most people, but the really sensitive should be aware that the website says that this is not a dedicated gluten free facility.Your choice.

If I died, id want the pearly gates to be the doors of The Cabin. I’m so lucky to only be about 30 mins from here. This past summer I went there at least three times a week for their Gluten Free fish and chips and their fisherman’s platter. The owner has celiac disease so he is very attentive to his customers. I feel like I’m at home.

After reading all the reviews and missing mozzarella sticks SO MUCH, I️ knew I️ had to come in and they didn’t disappoint! The service was amazing, the food was SO DELICIOUS and when I️ mentioned my tree nut allergy the waitress told me the cook said they “Couldn’t guarantee it, as the cooks are nuts themselves!” This staff truly cares about making tasty, SAFE food and the service is incredible with a family vibe. I️ will be back as soon as I️ can!

Update two years after original post... Still amazing! Always worth stopping! Amazing hidden jewel of the south shore! The owner is friendly, on the floor and gluten free himself so fully Understands the needs of his GF patrons. The food was excellent! I had gf onion rings, fries and fried seafood from a dedicated gf fryer with their own blend of seasoning and gf flour. From my boyfriends report the regular steak tips and other non GF foods were stellar. I will most certainly be returning.

Absolutely excellent! Both the manager and the owner fully walked me through the gluten free menu and other allergy options (I also have a tomato allergy). I got mozzarella sticks, a fried seafood platter, and apple crisp which is an impressive mix. Not only is almost the entire menu gluten free, but try also use local seafood and produce. My non-gf boyfriend loved his food too. I love 45 minutes away but we'll definitely be making the trip for this place!

It's a GF paradise. You can pretty much order anything you want, including all of the fried foods - like mozzarella sticks and onion rings - that celiac sufferers are accustomed to giving up on. The Cabin is pretty unsuspecting from the outside, but it delivers if you're gluten free, and I had a great meal, too, even though I'm not GF. I had the Cape Cod Reuben, which was fantastic but so filling - I could only eat half. My husband, who is GF, had the Trailblazer (fried chicken, mozzarella, chipotle honey mustard), with onion rings, and absolutely loved it. We were just visiting for the day, and he was so happy with the food that we ended up stopping at a convenience store to get a little cooler and ice so he could save his leftovers. It was especially nice that the owner, John, came by to see how the meal was. He has been GF for 15 years and you can tell that it really matters to him to deliver a quality product to his customers. Often times, GF menu items are "good...for gluten free." But The Cabin was just good food, regardless. We'll definitely be back!

I was literally in awe when I saw the GF menu. Just HUGE. A restaurant that serves GF breaded items that aren't from a freezer?! Next level. I went with a buffalo chicken quesadilla and expected a smaller sized portion, you know, the usual with a GF menu. Plate was gigantic, easily two meals in one. Cannot wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Love having such options as gf onion rings, coconut shrimp, fish & chips, fresh-made chicken fingers...awesome. Even just being able to order simple french fries without the fear of cross-contamination is so refreshing and makes my kids sooo happy (happy kids = happy mom). Although we didn't get a pen :-(

The Cabin is now my go to restaurant, I've been going almost every Saturday night for the last couple of months. I have celiac and never have to worry about getting something I shouldn't. the entire staff is educated on gluten free food as the owner/chef has been gluten free for many years. They have a dedicated kitchen where they prepare gluten free meals. You can get almost the entire menu gf!!! The gf fish and chips is one of my favorite meals and the gf fried ice cream is a must try, so good!

Very knowledgeable about gluten (the owner has been gluten free for years). Most of the items on the menu are already gluten free and don't have to the ordered any differently; for example, all the FRIED SEAFOOD is fried in GF batter in a dedicated fryer! The sweet potato fries were perhaps the best I've ever had, and the Cabin salad was excellent also.

We are so happy to find The Cabin. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and their care to gluten free was excellent. The owner went over the gf menu with my son. I haven't seen my son eat so much in one meal- gf French onion soup, gf teriyaki wings, chicken quesadilla with fries and then fried ice cream. We were back at the cabin the next morning at 11:30 for lunch. We can't wait to return to Massachusetts for another great meal!!!

By far the best place for gf! The food is always amazing and John, the owner has a fine dining background, so the the specials usually have that unique ingredient(s) you don't normally find at a 'family' type restaurants! Although, my go-to is the Fried Big Fish sandwich 😋. Great atmosphere and service 👌🏼!!
