The Chick in Mechelen works with a surprise menu that changes every five weeks. You choose 3, 4 or 5 courses and wait to be surprised by the chef. Let them know in advance that you are gluten intolerant and everything will be adjusted accordingly. We went for 3 courses and enjoyed very surprising dishes, each with a clear explanation and what had been adjusted, if necessary, to make it gluten-free. The service is super friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended for those who want something different and want to be completely surprised. The price is a bit higher, but the quality is more than worth it! We have been back several times without getting sick :)

The Chick in Mechelen werkt met een verrassingsmenu dat elke vijf weken veranderd. Je kiest 3, 4 of 5 gangen en laat je verrassen door de chef. Geef op voorhand even door dat je glutenintolerant bent en alles wordt netjes aangepast. Wij gingen voor 3 gangen en genoten van heel verrassende gerechten met steeds een duidelijke uitleg met wat indien nodig aangepast was om het glutenvrij te maken. De bediening is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Een echte aanrader voor wie eens wat anders wil en zich volledig wil laten verrassen. De prijs is wat hoger, maar de kwaliteit is het meer dan waard!
