It’s time this amazing restaurant was added to this app! We checked this out because I’ve heard they had a great bourbon and wine selection. I was SUPER surprised to discover all of the gluten free food options. Everything is clearly labeled on the menu, including fried cauliflower bites and fried calamari as starters! I had the choice between fried Oreos and a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. (I of course got the Oreos, as I was diagnosed with celiac disease before those became a thing, and I felt I had to try them.) They assured me several times that they actually used gf Oreos. (I can’t even count how many times someone in my life has tried to give me an Oreo claiming, “but they’re vegan!” And then being surprised that it doesn’t also mean gf.) The main course was absolutely amazing, everything was perfectly cooked, and the staff had a good awareness of allergies. I am really sensitive, and would be spending the night in the hospital if exposed to gluten. I’m happy to report that, despite my initial fear surrounding the Oreos, that I did not get sick, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening out.
