Review of The Country Cafe

(writing on behalf of my wife who has Coeliac disease, I finished her lunch which goes some way to describing the quantity.) She ordered the nachoes and an iced chocolate. the portion came out on a 7" bowl what was well-filled and had generous helpings of salsa and sour cream, possibly a bit much sour cream, we didn't finish it between us. The Nacho mix was high-calibre to me, strong notes of tomato, and the corn chips were from a brand that we know are gluten free.

If you're in the mood for nachos in Geraldine, I can recommend this :)

The atmosphere lines up with the name, there's a definite NZ high country vibe. Was warm in the middle of winter. The entrance looks small but there's plenty of space inside, it's not cramped at all. There's also a place for young children to distract themselves at the back of the restaurant.
