The Crown

My boyfriend and I just moved to St. Margaret’s and The Crown was our first stop. Gorgeous interior, great atmosphere, wonderful service. Just tell the server you are gluten free and they will bring back a menu marked up in pen with what is GF and what isn’t, or how a meal can be modified to be GF. I highly recommend the fish and chips. Absolutely cooked to perfection. My boyfriend had a steak with a side of chips and he is still raving about the steak. We are both GF (I’m celiac, he’s intolerant) and neither of us got sick. If you love wine, we both recommend the Chocolate Block. The Crown is a gem that you don’t want to miss out on!

Have been going to the crown many many times and as someone who eats gluten free due to coeliacs disease I always find something tasty and gluten free on the menu. My favourite is the gluten free battered fish n chips, very tasty, crispy batter chips and beautiful fish, mushy peas with a hint of fresh mint.
