The staff was not knowledgeable on gluten free options. They did not have a gluten free menu or gf items indicated on the menu. Not sure why this restaurant was listed on the Findme Gluten Free. I had to quiz the server on how they cooked items that should be naturally gluten free just to make sure it wasn’t fried, breaded or etc. I just took a gamble eating the food with my sensitivity. If you are genuinely concerned about your gluten consumption and it’s effect on you, pass on this eatery.
Our waitress summoned the manager. She explained my few options. She knew what she was talking about. I chose the western omelette with fruit. It was very good and a big omelette! I gave it 2 stars because of few selections and no allergy menu. Also I would have been in trouble if the Mgr had not been there.
I never entered the restaurant; I called in and asked about their gluten free menu/ options and the person I talked to said they did not have a gluten free menu. If you know what you can eat, you may be okay. There aren’t any specifically gluten free options though, only bunless burgers and grilled chicken type of options. For a mild case of celiac, it may be alright but there is not a separate kitchen or fryer.
The hostess though, maybe, we we're at the wrong place. No gluten free!
No
there were not a lot of gluten free options however the ones they had were very good. They were able to grill the pork chops instead of frying and they were moist and tender. They do not have gluten-free buns as mentioned previously. The gluten-free chocolate sin cake was very good.
Limited given free options but give it a try! When I asked the serve he started telling me what they were but I stopped him after the first option. Shrimp and grits - my dad said it was delicious so I gave it a try. Shrimp was superb, the grits were topped with the shrimp and loaded like a baked potato. Buttery and rich; a real splurge! They also had a GF Chocolate Sin Cake for dessert that I had to try and it was spectacular. Server was friendly and attentive.
