Review of The Elm Tree Restaurant

After viewing the menus and questioning the staff we decided to try this cozy spot we found on a surprisingly charming street downtown. I was offered cucumber slices so I could enjoy the homemade hummus, which was very good. then after choosing the salmon, was advised by the chef not to have the usual side, so left it up to him to complete my meal and it was wonderful! my table companions really enjoyed their food as well. The server actually apologized that he didn't have anything to offer me for desert, and while it lost them a star on the rating, that didn't spoil the evening. We did eat on the early side before the place got to busy, gave the kitchen time to give us special attention. Will be back for sure !
