Loved this place - it’s actually called The High Test Deli and Sweet Shop. The kitchen manager was super well-versed on safe food prep for Celiac, they cover their presses and grills. However, I asked if they had a dedicated fryer, she said no, but they buy a super high quality oil that doesn’t transfer gluten- ummm, no. The food here was delicious too!
Outstanding knowledge and service. The owner goes out of his way to make you comfortable about the food and prep so you can eat without worry. My folks had a pressed rueban (called the High Octane, I think) I had a Cuban and my children shared a pressed grilled cheese and we all shared a huge ice cream sandwich! All GF and delicious!
The name has changed but it is still a deli. The best gluten free Cuban I've ever had. My wife also gluten free had the ethyl and said the turkey was great. The person behind the counter asked if we were Celiac and said that he would clean the kitchen if we were. So I think they are Celiac friendly.
