Pretty good food, great buns, great sauce. I was personally limited on the side options because i don’t eat red meat and all their sides except salad and coleslaw have meat in them. However! the food was still really good, the service was amazing, she triple checked everything i ordered and came out was cooked separately. I would absolutely go back! Also ask for Molly if she’s there, her sister has celiac so she was insanely nicer than anyone i’ve ever met. I’m very symptomatic celiac and i didn’t get sick after.
I loved my food at their sister location a few years back. They told me they were opening a new location in Norfolk so I was so excited to try! We have been here twice since they opened and it is really delicious BBQ. I get the smoked beef brisket platter with a side Caesar salad (minus the croutons). It’s always juicy and tender. The fries unfortunately are not fried in a decorated fryer, but I don’t mind because the Caesar salad is refreshing. A huge portion of their menu is labeled gluten free (including the sides). They even note on the menu that their spicy Texas sauce isn’t GF, which I appreciate not having to ask about the sauces. My waiter wasn’t the most knowledgeable, but didn’t mind asking the kitchen any questions I had. Excellent food and service and the atmosphere is awesome! Also the prices are extremely reasonable compared to Mission BBQ.
