Just went to get some chips from the Fishmarket in Newhaven and casually asked if they had their separate fryer on for gluten free (thinking the chips will be fine) then he said no, only for sit down in the restaurant and that the chip fryer isn’t safe cos they group all the oil overnight and share it out the next day. Whyyyyyyy.

Also, would you not just help someone out and cook them some chips in this magical restaurant only fryer?

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Poor

The gluten free fish was amazing, such crispy batter! We were originally told that the chips weren’t gluten free, so we didn’t order them, but they came in the box with the fish, so that might have been a miscommunication - make sure you check if the chips are GF. We couldn’t get through on to the phone line to order, but we did send our order in through the website. The 6:30 and 6:40 slots were very busy and we had to wait a while, but when we did get our food it was delicious

Had the Haddock and chips. Gf not denoted on the menu but is available. Dedicated fryer. Really tasty. Gf just took a bit longer so they could prepare the batter fresh. Had our food in about 35 mins. Would absolutely go back!

Very aware of cross contamination, separate fryer and their gluten free batter was really crisp and tasty.
