The most amazing pub for service and food! I haven’t had much luck around Dartmouth with restaurants or cafes able to cater for me so I was hesitant when I popped in. Could not have been more pleased…
I asked if the pub had Gluten-free food options (before even bothering to launch into usual Coeliac conversation!) and the fabulous guy behind the bar said “are you Coeliac or just gluten intolerant?”
I nearly kissed him (kidding)!! He talked me through the menu, advised on what they could do and safely - the fryer isn’t safe so chips off the menu but they substituted with new potatoes! I had Halloumi and chilli for starters, had a whole range of fish options for main but chose Ham, Eggs, peas and new potatoes.
Then the icing on the cake, PROFITEROLES!! I haven’t had those in years and oh my god… I hoovered them up 😊
Fantastic service, beautiful food clearly marked on the menu as GFA (no flags in food) but also invaluable advice as to what I could safely eat.
I’ll definitely be going back, often! Even if it’s just for a cheeky glass of wine… service like that deserves rewarding! Happy Days for Coeliacs in Devon ❤
