Weird experience. The food was good. The service tho....

Greeted with a scowl. Ignored a bit First two choices not available.

Ordered (in order) Bread roll Ham and cheese omelette --this triggered the info that they would have to go buy ham or I'd have to wait. I said we'd wait Potato scones dairy free--got told they could do it but the vegan cheese wasn't nice. I switched to a sandwich. Tea for two people. Would I like milk? Just one jug pls.

-- Tea arrives for one person. Send back for another cup and pot. Meal turns up. No bread roll I request it and am told I didn't order it. I say "yes I did it was the first thing ordered". Host slings it on table. I try to pay. Told "don't bother" in deeply ungracious way. [i leave money on the table by the way, as I did order it and should have paid].

The whole set up felt amateurish (including apparently wandering past customers with a hot sandwich iron).

It may however just have been an off day and the food itself was good.

But odd. Very odd
