Review of The Gorge Bar and Grill

I went for lunch Saturday and spoke with the manager and the chef regarding the recent reviews identifying Celiac safety experiences. I reiterated how important it is that when a person self-identifies as having Celiac, the entire staff needs to follow through or they need to tell the diner they can't ensure their GF menu is accurate and the kitchen is safe. To their credit, both the manager and chef listened and expressed concern as they want to serve folks with true dietary restrictions such as those of us with CD. I did have a tasty Rueben on a corn tortilla. I will return when I'm back in Taos as I ate here twice last year with no problems. As many of us do, I remind restaurants that the CD person typically chooses the restaurant and the rest of the party is usually ordering from the main menu.
