I ate there just yesterday and had a great experience. When you arrive, note that you have an allergy. The host will get a different colored slip to give to the server to take your order. It indicates that you have an allergy and alerts the kitchen too. (I technically have celiac, but just say it’s an allergy).
I perused the buffet and then asked the server for what I wanted. I specifically asked for it to be cooked in the kitchen to prevent cross contamination. I got plain chicken, rice and beans, and a delicious veggie plate. Felt like they understood well and didn’t get sick!
