I had the crab cake and the Mac n cheese. I did not get sick from anything , and I am Celiac. My to go order was clearly labeled with allergy stickers.

The crab cake was excellent and I would definitely order that again. The mac n cheese was ok. I felt like it was really over priced for what I got and I would not order that again.

Absolutely incredible food and such nice and knowledgeable staff!! Very safe, I didn’t feel sick at all. I had GF crab soup (chowder), GF grilled cheese, and GF crab cake. I haven’t eaten any of these things in over 5 years when I developed my allergy. I am beyond ecstatic and cannot say enough great things about this place. I also got a GF chocolate cake for dessert that was amazing. Will definitely be back every week!! It’s so nice to eat the things I used to.

I have celiacs and went here based on the reviews. Our waitress seemed new but was very nice and attentive. A chef was able to answer my questions that our waitress could not. The build your own grill cheese was excellent! Mine had ham, bacon, and tomatoes on it. Very tasty and I had no adverse reactions after. Quite pleased!!

Ordered online for delivery and was able to designate allergy. When delivered, each item was packaged separately with an allergy sticker.

I loved the grilled cheese sandwich and the pork belly reuben. My non-GF husband really loved the GF crab melt. I liked the crab cake but took it out of the sandwich bread.

Really enjoyed this meal and I think the GF grilled cheese and Mac and cheese would be great options for kids!

UPDATED REVIEW 11/11/2022 My Celiac friend and I went back for the first time in two years. Just as disappointed this time. The crab cakes were much more cake than crab. Personally, I didn’t see any crabmeat. I also got a cup of the crab soup, which had more pieces of crab exoskeleton that I had to spit out than anything else. It tasted like melted cheese (not the good kind) with a sprinkle of Old Bay on top. We had high hopes, seeing so many good reviews since we went two years ago, thinking we must have been on an off day. Sadly, we will not be returning again.

One more thing: not necessarily food related, but they pens they have for customers to sign receipts with at the register are kept in a cup with shell pasta (see the picture). I have never seen gluten free mini shells like that, so make sure you WASH YOUR HANDS after you finish paying. For a restaurant that takes food allergies so seriously, what a ginormous slap in the face to people with Celiac.

ORIGINAL REVIEW 10/30/2020 My Celiac friend and I have been planning on going here for a couple months after seeing all the good reviews. While we heavily appreciate the idea of feeling safe while eating gluten free from a restaurant that we are new to, we were not at all impressed with the actual food. We each tried the mac & cheese and the crab melt. The bread was great, as was the crab cake, but the mac & cheese was sub-par. The noodles fell apart and the cheese was thin like water; I could not put my finger on the taste, but it definitely had a hint of spice (maybe horseradish). Overall, I’m glad there is a safe place to eat in Somers Point, NJ, but I probably will not be back.

Pork belly Reuben is absolutely out of this world! So good! Mac & cheese had almost no flavor to it which was a shame but I’ll come back for that sandwich.

I was so excited to eat here while visiting and it did not disappoint! Mac n cheese was the best Gf Mac n cheese I’ve had. The crab melt was delicious I wish I lived closer and could eat here again! Also huge kudos to this place they marked my food as an allergy alert and had it in a separate bag labeled GF. This made me feel so safe eating here and I did not get sick! This place is amazing. I actually live within walking distance of them and I always figured there was no way they could possibly offer Glutem Free. Well tonight my son wanted to try the place. Not only do they have a glutem free menu - when my order arrived it was bagged and marked separately from the regular food. The containers were all marked with stickers. Definitely recommend them!

We ordered online and our order contained both GF items and gluten items (for me and my gluten-eating husband). The store called me to confirm that I knew that the gluten item contained gluten. That kind of customer service is invaluable and they showed real understanding that a mistake (in how I read the menu) would make me sick. That being said, the grilled cheese was really good but I was not fond of the crab cake, which is the whole reason I ordered. It seemed to have a lot of filler (I couldn’t taste the crab) and was a bit spicy for me. I still gave them a 5 for their knowledgeable staff. I would recommend!

This place was great. We found it through the app. Owners daughter has Celiac so totally separate GF prep area. They have GF Mac n cheese, grilled cheese, and crab cake. Fryer is not dedicated so don’t eat the fries. Staff is knowledgeable. Food come out with allergy sticker and GF flag. Great meal after a day at the beach. Also featured on Dives and Diners from Food Network.

I can not stress this enough, you NEED TO COME HERE! It was truly the best sandwich I have had out in a long time, and I felt so safe eating it! Not only did the owner check to make sure the meal was put in correctly, but he came to make sure to check on us throughout! The sandwich had a stick labeled Gf and an orange sticker with the allergy alert. The bread was so toasted and crispy, not mushy at all! There was so much delicious cheese I can’t stop raving! They also have Gf Crab cake, Mac and cheese, and so much more! I will be returning within the next few days during my short trip that’s how good it was! Everything is cooked separate and I didn’t get sick at all. Seriously, COME HERE! 😁

Staff completely understood celiacs. Brought my food out separate from my non GF hubby. Oh and the food is so good! Best Mac and cheese (pasta is a pea pasta not corn) & they use "B Free" bread. In addition to the GF section they can do cheese steaks and burgers too. No french fries as it's a shared fryer. They are open year round. Definitely coming back again.

Our waitress was super knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. She said they cook the crab cakes and grilled cheeses on a separate grill. Our food came out with gluten free labels on it. This is how it should be done. Owners have a celiac in the family, so they know the drill. The following items can be prepared GF: Grilled Cheese, Mac and Cheese, Crab Cakes. Anything that doesn't go into the fryer can be added in (bacon, onions, eggs, mushroom, pork belly, etc.) They have a dedicated grill and prep area, and keep the GF food in a seperate fridge. The take-out containers are very clearly maked GF and kept separate from the non-GF food. And the food is spectacular. The GF grilled cheese is on B-Free bread and absolutely great. The fantastic crab cakes are made with GF breadcrumbs. I couldn't possibly recommend this place any more!

Amazing. Gf crab cakes, bread and Mac n cheese. 3 things that we usually cannot eat out....and they were soo good!!! I haven’t had Mac n cheese in I don’t even know how long AND I don’t think I’ve had a crab cake since being diagnosed. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable-the young girl who helped me informed me that the owners daughter has celiac, which is why he now does what he does at his restaurant. :) I can’t wait to go back.

What an awesome experience I had. I called ahead to verify what I had read on the reviews as far as offering GF and having separate cooking/prep area. The girl that I spoke with confirmed what I had read and explained their CC procedures (separate grill and utensils). I felt very comfortable making the trip down after speaking to the staff. They are able to prepare several items - crabcake, grilled cheese and mac n cheese. I was able to get their signature "Guy Fieri" crabcake melt. It was delicious. In the 1.5 years since I've been diagnosed, it was one of the best meals I've had and I ate it with confidence. Our waitress was the same person I had spoken with and she was totally on top of things and knew all about proper procudeures. She told me that they have been working on perfecting their GF offerings and after much trial and error, they now feel they have a product(s) that people can actually enjoy and she was right! Kudos to the owners and the staff that have taken the time to learn and do GF/Celiac-Friendly right. Icing on the cake - the bread didn't fall apart and was actually very good! I'm not sure about anyone else but it is such a pleasure to eat somewhere where your are not made to feel like a pain/annoyance/diva because you need GF.

I went there tonight and had a regular grilled cheese sandwich on gf bread and they asked if it was an allergy or a preference. They assured me they cook it on a mini separate grill and with separate utensils.They also have gf Mac and cheese but stated it takes over 30 minutes to cook & it had mozzarella cheese (which I personally can’t eat) so I didn’t order this. Next time I will definitely try the gf Crab Cake melt! Highly recommend!! Staff was knowledgeable and very kind!

Had the grilled cheese on gluten free bread and it was delicious! The waitress asked if it was an allergy and then assured me that it would be prepared on a separate surface. I was a bit disappointed that the cream of tomato soup was not gluten free. They do have salads available, however.

I was so excited to try this place. I love a good crab cake and really miss grilled cheese. I went here with my husband and 2 children. The bill was over $60 and not worth half of that. They charged me an extra $4 to make my Crab Melt gluten free which wouldn’t have been an issue if the bread was at least grilled instead of just warm-ish and at least close in size. They don’t have a dedicated frier so I couldn’t even get a side of fries with my lackluster sandwich. I opted for the coleslaw which contains no gluten ingredients but could be cross contaminated (I’m not that sensitive thank goodness) and was seriously under seasoned. The tomato in my sandwich totally overpowered my crab cake which was half the size of the one my daughter got that was prepared normally. So disappointed.

Well I enjoy my Summers in Ocean City and my fiance wanted a sandwich. We ended up stopping here in 28 years it's my first time. Come to find out they have a gluten free crab cake sandwich it was phenomenal. Of course gluten free bread. Highly recommend it I will be back again.
