Review of The Highlands Hotel

Review

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights during the holidays. They had a good amount of gluten free options and they even said they could mix and match different dishes to accommodate for me. They had gluten free cheesecake for dessert and a sticky toffee pudding (my favourite). The staff were extremely helpful and one of the waitresses was actually a coeliac herself. They were also very accommodating at breakfast and I was able to order gluten free toast every morning. The only drawback was that they couldn’t be sure that the chips were gluten free (some people had reactions to them in the past), but I appreciated their honesty and I survived without them. I didn’t think that some of the food was great to be honest but it is a good option for a coeliac looking for something to eat in the area.
