The Keto Cafe

A second gluten free dedicated place in Oviedo. And soft pretzels! I was excited. But my experience was unfortunately mediocre. I ordered a pizza (they were out of pretzels), and it took close to 30 minutes to get it. There were three small tables and three chairs to wait at. All the tables were covered in crumbs and gunk, and there are no readily available napkins to clean them. With several other non gluten free establishments nearby, there isn’t a way to know what the crumbs are from. When the pizza did come, it was brought with a half a paper towel. The pizza doesn’t hold up to eating it like pizza, so I asked for silverware. I got a spork. A spork and half a paper towel are not effective tools for eating cakey pizza falling apart. The person working the counter was polite and patient and doing their best. All in all, it’s a nice concept, but the place needs some polish. I do not recommend if you’re looking for a place to sit and eat or if you’re looking for healthy options. The baked goods look promising if you order ahead and know they are sugar free.
