Just enjoyed an awesome snow day lunch here! We got into Boulder yesterday right after a big snowstorm and wanted to at least get out for a nice bite to eat this afternoon. Found Next Door American Eatery on Yelp and our lunch did not disappoint! Super friendly service, really solid food and good beers.
I was thrilled to be able to enjoy a gluten free grilled cheese and tomato soup - what more could you want on a cold day?! Sandwich was really nicely cooked, with plenty of oooey goooey cheese goodness. Soup was a great classic tomato soup. Living the childhood classic food dreams! I also enjoyed a cider and was super happy that it was dry and tart, not too sweet like many ciders we get back home in Atl.
Hubs had pozole and loved it. Chock full of pork, a nice kick of spice, and lots of fresh avocado and radishes on top. Beautifully done!
We also splurged on dessert - the arroz con leche fritters (yes, gluten free, although I was warned about cross contamination so I appreciated that) are like little heavenly indulgences of rice pudding with some yummy caramel deliciousness inside, fried with cinnamon sugar on the outside. Eat those if you aren’t sensitive to cross contamination.
Autumn was our server and she was friendly, prompt, knowledgeable about GF options, and overall wonderful!
We'd definitely return on our next trip into Boulder (or maybe even on this one!).

So the key here is that even if a dish says “GF” next to it, you need to double check with your server and ask specific questions. I almost ate the smashers (an appetizer) before asking about the fries (which aren’t safe), and realizing it was all in the same fryer. The server had no idea. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was fine, I’ve had better GF food in the area for sure.
There is only one thing in the menu that isn’t gluten free or gluten free optional, servers are very knowledgeable
Yes
had a burger on gluten free bun, good and didn’t get sick

Unfortunately I was glutened here. They didn't seem to take allergies very seriously.
No
Lots of yummy GF and DF options. And they are very accommodating and respectful of food sensitivities. Oh and most of the menu is under $13.
