The Lazy Turtle Aruba

Being a Celiac here in Aruba as a tourist was very difficult. We came to this restaurant because it was about the only one open at 4:00 pm. The other listed gluten friendly restaurants did not open until 6:00 pm. So we tried it. I was very surprised how helpful they were to make sure my food was safe. It was delicious and I didn’t get sick at all. I’m so grateful for their good safe food!

Previous reviews are very misleading. No GF menu not GF options listed on menu. Our server was not sure what gluten was but I ordered the Spanish grouper that was breaded but the kitchen made it without bread so technically (probably) GF. It was very good! Just be careful.

Went for dinner last night. Menu clearly marked with a green GF dot for gluten free options. Our server had zero clue about the menu so I took it on faith and ordered the African Smoked Fish. When she came out with the food she confirmed it was gluten free. It was delicious but with a heavy dose of butter. Didn’t get sick.

Accommodating for GF, and service ok, but food was mediocre.

Arrived to eat lunch. Waitress was very confused about what gluten free might be. She called out the bartender who wasn't sure but quickly convinced himself that they only serve GF food at dinner.

Another delicious dinner in Aruba, decided to stop while shopping, wasn’t expecting so many gf options on the menus. I had beef Kabobs, cooked the way I asked for them, baked potatoe and veg.

We contacted the staff prior to our visit and they had GF rolls ready for my daughter! She had the rice fettuccine (cooked separately) and she loved it. The managers were extremely helpful but not the waitress. If you contact management, you will be taken care of!

Great food, large variety to choose from. We are gf/df and were very pleased at the number of options. Great staff, very kid friendly.

Get the pad thai,Waldorf salad and the coconut icecream you will not be disappointed

Lots of gluten free options on the menu. My daughter ordered the kids chicken with apples and broccoli. Delicious and gluten free!

Great seafood dinner. The menu is well labeled for GF. Since they did not have gluten free bread my server brought baked plantain chips instead. Delicious!
