The Local Grind

Visiting from out of town. I know this bakery is fantastic, but finding them open is challenging. They post hours but don’t keep them. Really wanted to give them my business but it’s just too frustrating.

Fantastic local gluten-free bakery and coffee shop. We had a lemon poppy seed muffin, coffee cake, chocolate chip cookies and everything was great for my celiac son. The best thing there though was the garlic cheddar rolls which are amazing.

We stopped here on our way to an outing. Everything we bought was excellent!! The owner is celiac and has put a lot of effort into making everything delicious! Highly recommend!!

I've tried to stop by here twice and both times they've been closed. I'm not from the area so can't check very often. Once was on a Saturday and their store hours' sign said it was a market day, whatever that means. Then I stopped by on a Tuesday about lunch time and it was also closed. Maybe it is closed permanently.

This place is not what it was cracked up to be. The first time we went here it was supposed to be open but wasn't....we tried again the next day and I wish they had been closed again instead of waisting my money. The staff person was first of all dressed inappropriately for cooking food. There is nothing worse than seeing someone's boobs and armpits when they are preparing your food, should of been my first sign to run away from the place. When the girl finally asked for my order, I ordered the egg sandwich and she was very rude about my questions. She walked off to make my food without even acknowledging my Mom or Daughter....when she brought me my food I told her I had 2 more people that needed to order and she just stared and them and then uttered a what to them....she took over 20 minutes to fix their food....so mine was cold by the time they got theirs. The a egg sandwich was extremely small and not that good. I would not go here again unless I was desperate!!! There was no GF pastries as advertised available.

Best breakfast sandwich! SO good! We bought some gf breads and treats while there. Chocolate Chai drink was amazing! We'll be stopping here for breakfast and lunch anytime we're in town!

my husband likes the coffee, and i LOVE the baked goods! the kinda rye makes me want a Reuben, now!
