Unfortunately my celiac son and husband got sick after eating here. I told the cashier to flag for gluten allergy twice. We were disappointed. Both missed 2 days of school and work.

Pretty good crust, but the overall flavor is lacking. Still one of my favorite places in town for the options. Have never gotten sick, but I am not highly sensitive, so I’m unsure of the level of precaution with handling gluten free orders.

The Loop in Fernandina has awesome GF burgers and GF buns. They will also bake your fries if you would like. I usually get broccoli. They also serve shakes. I would ask them to clean the blades before they make your shake. This is my favorite burger place.

4/17/2020 Still the best hamburger ever.

The restaurant keeps GF pans separate from other pizza crust pans. I had meat pizza. It was delicious! Staff was very good at explaining their procedures.

The loop has a lot of great GF offerings. They have always been well known for their salads. They also offer GF buns for any sandwich on the menu and GF pizza crust.

Overall, the group of us that came to The Loop were all very satisfied with our lunch. The staff was not knowledgeable at all about gluten free ingredients, options, and processes, but my husband and I figured out how to create a gluten free white pizza with only oregano & oil. The pizza honestly looked gross when it came out, but was one of the best gluten free pizza's that we have ever eaten. The sides are "so-so" and the environment isn't that comfy. But the food is worth trying! PS- I haven't gotten sick !

The restaurant is exceptionally clean. When you walk in it's a bubbly and jovial atmosphere. Walk-up Counter for ordering is clean and you can see they take pride in the restaurant. Almost every item can be made GF. Just order what you see on the menu and inform them you need it GF. Kindly remind them no croutons for the salads. Then get your beverage and find an available table. Once your buzzer goes off return to the counter pick up what looks well crafted just for you and return to the table. If I could post a picture of this 8" GF Mediterranean Pizza w/House Salad and Tea I would. It's beautiful to look at. The salad is crisp, a blend of fresh greens, broccoli, red onions, tomatoes, carrots and a side of your dressing choice. Excellent in my book. The pizza crust is a gorgeous golden brown. Topped with a very good pesto, feta, fresh spinach, artichokes, calamata olives and tomatoes. The texture of the dough on the palette is right on target. Not to soft and not to much like a cracker. The pizza is delightful. The bright flavors and the immediate pleasure in the changes of flovors as you savor that first slice is incredible. This is definitely worth the journey from home or for a business meeting.

Not sure where they get their gluten-free burger buns, but they're pretty darned good. I'll get a barbecue bacon cheese burger, and the bun won't crumble to bits like most GF breads. The pizza is good too. My wife and I both enjoy stopping here.

Great sandwiches! Knowledgable friendly staff. They even use a separate fryer for the French fries! Didn't get to try the pizza crust, but that's available too, with red sauce and pesto sauce bases.
