The Modest Butcher Kitchen + Market

This place was recommended to us by a family friend and truly did not disappoint. Our server, Spencer, was on top of allergies from the moment we sat down. While the menu did not specify which items were gluten free, they did this with the intent of providing variety to customers to allow for customizations for gluten free meals. The staff was VERY competent in celiac awareness and offered gluten free breads, safe spaces for preparing, and a dedicated gluten free fryer.

Foods selected for todays meal: 1. Starter: charcuterie 2. Main: false creek cioppino 3. Dessert: creme brûlée

Food was 10/10 and now my top dinning experience ever. Will certainly be returning.

Server was quite confident they can take care of celiac orders properly in the kitchen. Food was great. VERY pricey. Steak was truly excellent, though. They would do well to indicate which menu items are GF. Currently there is no indication on the menus.
