They offered s GF menu, understood CC & food was decent. The prices were so high & the food wasn’t that good. I paid $35.00 for 4 scallops on Lima beans. My table laughed at my meal when it arrived, called it a smurf meal. They do offer GF buns that were great & a separate butter dish.

Wonderful restaurant. Extensive gluten free menu. Steak and cheese sandwich on gluten free roll was outstanding. They had a gf chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert and it was awesome. Chef brought both dishes out to confirm it was safe for my celiac.

They have a designated GF menu and delicious food! A manager brought my food out and assured me the kitchen deemed it celiac safe. The wait staff was excellent! She saw that I wasn’t eating the GF croutons in my salad (as GF croutons can be a bit mushy) and came by to reassure me my whole plate was prepared GF. The lobster sandwich, seafood risotto, and tuna poke were all so good. My mom and I finished our meal with Creme Brûlée(yum)!!

loved it! they were very helpful and knowledgeable. you have to ask for gluten free bread if you want it (bread doesn’t just come to the table when you sit down) but it’s really good!! you can’t eat any of the fried food, though. still, i have celiac and felt fine after eating there!

WONDERFUL creative gluten free menu options! LUNCH: Had GF scallops on top of a delicious creative hash made of cubed potatoes, pancetta, spinach, corn, onions - SENSATIONAL! I had a delicious salad for an appetizer made of cukes, tomatoes, romaine and various lettuce types, goat cheese, light dressing topped with almond slices - GREAT. For dessert I had GF creme brulee topped with a raspberry puree - AWESOME. Also provided warm gluten free rolls with butter - very good. NON-GF: My husband (NOT a GF diner) had white chowder filled with scallops; with it he had what they call "lobster donuts" which for most of us are called clamcakes - these were filled with chunks of lobster. We had a beautiful harbor front table with a nice view. The waitress was exceptional; the manager also came over to say hello and ask how the meal was. Overall I highly recommend The Mooring for celiacs with great and creative gluten free options! We have eaten here in the past and the meals are always great.

I am blown away by how good this place was. There is a large variety of options including a whole vegetarian section. When they brought out the bread, I had to ask several times if it was safe to eat because it was so good. Never in my life have I had such delicious bread. The waiter was very knowledgeable about Celiac and even knew what the best gluten free options were.

I have severe Celiac disease and when I called to make the reservation, they asked on the phone if I had any allergies or disease that they should be aware of.. No other restaurant has ever done that! It was the absolute best food I've ever had and my waitress was amazing. Totally aware of the precautions I needed to take. Full gf menu as well! Definitely my favorite place.

This place is classy. They have a separate GF menu filled with options. The rolls they serve initially are the beat GF bread product I have ever had. They order them from a local bakery. Overall, worth the money and a great option for GF fresh quality seafood!
