Nice selection of baked goods and they offer hot breakfast options. The breakfast burrito is good. I have enjoyed the cookies and brownies.

I got a few things to try: brownie, snickerdoodle, chocolate chip cookie and frosted cinnamon rolls. The cookies and brownies were meh. I did really like the cinnamon rolls and would return for them

Peach pie was absolutely horrible!! I took a couple of bites, and threw it away. $8 wasted. I won’t be back. Sorry!

They have plenty of options, it tastes so good. They have bakery items, breakfast and deli sandwiches, and they make personalized sheet cakes (upon request).

Only place in Monterey that has all gluten-free items. Couldn’t find anywhere to eat, not even the Hyatt could accommodate!!! So very thankful for this place. Had a sandwich, and a cinnamon bun. I would definitely go back, and I would definitely recommend. Safe for Celiacs, and I had no reaction after eating.

I went here based on recommendations from this app. The establishment is completely gluten free, so no worries about cross contamination. I had a breakfast wrap, a donut, and a chocolate chip muffin. The wrap was very good. The baked goods were not. They were dry and just did not taste good. I recommend the wrap but don't waste your money on the baked goods.

Food was delicious, service was not great. Breakfast sandwich was best I have ever had and coffee was great too.

We enjoy the cinnamon rolls, which are better warmed. The cupcakes and cakes are sometimes fantastic and sometimes a bit dry. We enjoy the sandwiches. The employees don't always know what is in each item and that makes ordering more challenging.

They have lots of options. It was gluten free Heaven.

Recently had breakfast here and really enjoyed it! I had the breakfast sandwich on whole grain bread and the cinnamon bun. The sandwich was great and the cinnamon bun was delicious (if a bit dense). I would absolutely return. They had a full case of tasty looking pastries I would love to try!

I’ve been there a few times. The cinnamon rolls are a hot item and the pastries are good. I’m got a sandwich and she put way too much mayonnaise and mustard and it was sort of expensive. I tried the chicken pot pie and it not good and I paid 8.00. The chai latte was good.

The gluten free quiche I ordered ended up just being a crustless quiche.

No eating inside. Seemed clean and careful and following COVID-19 protocols. Dedicated gluten free.
Had delicious, gooey cinnamon rolls!

In addition to gluten I can't eat dairy and I had a five minute confusing exchange with cashier where she kept disagreeing with the allergens as listed on the menu as I attempted to verify what contained dairy. Finally she pulled out a binder indicating she was wrong and the posted menu was correct. Wish she had pulled it when I first asked instead of weirdly contradicting the menu and trying to convince me I couldn't read properly but whatever. Got a cinnamon roll (no dairy) and it was just ok and when I was almost done eating I realized it had a very long hair in it :/ yuck. I also ordered a loaf of cinnamon bread that I think may have already been stale when they sold it to me. I've eaten a couple slices and am considering throwing the rest away which is pretty sad. It wasn't cheap. So overall not worth the time and money.
I had been looking forward to trying this place when I visited Monterey. I was very disappointed. The chicken pot pie was rewarmed in a microwave. The crust was dry and tasteless. The filing was also disappointing. The cinnamon roll was very dry (tasted old and dried out). If five of us eating there, no one enjoyed their meal. I’m not sure how much is made on premises and how much is preprocessed and just heated in a microwave. Also, both my child and I felt sick after the meal and went to buy activated charcoal.
Type of gluten free that they overloaded with sugar just to get it to taste good and compensate for the texture. Counter worker was rude.

100% no worry eating. Lady who took the order was very nice. Cinnamon roll was tasty. Breakfast sandwich was very good.
It’s pretty expensive, but that is true or all gluten free bakeries.
Yes
Highly recommend this place. They offer a large selection of gluten free bakery items. I had the pumpkin spice muffin and it was super delicious. I also had a turkey and cheddar sandwich which was very good. It was great to eat at a location with no worries of gluten!

Big update!! We spent a lot of our weekend at this bakery having breakfast there multiple times and absolutely loving it! Spoke with the owner and found out that her son is no longer a part of the business -that he was very unhappy working there and made all of the customers miserable and is now gone and no longer a part of the business. So for those of you who are concerned about the service and who did not want to go back because of that person, you are now in the clear and can get wonderful food and wonderful service as of August 1. New staff and lots of dairy free and vegan options as well if you need those. A must for anyone visiting Monterey and it made our time there so much more enjoyable! Don’t miss out on the cinnamon rolls!

We stopped here for lunch while in town for a reunion. Amazing! My husband says that was the best cinnamon roll he’s ever had. I loved the sandwich and the chocolate hazelnut muffin!
On our visit to Monterrey we had a whale watching tour booked at 9am with a check in at 8:30. We found this location on Find Me Gluten Free and it was five minutes from our tour location so we arrived 5 minutes before they opened so as to have time to order, eat and go. Not only did they open late without any apologies but their breakfast burrito, blueberry, cherry and apple pies were terrible. To add insult to injury they were horribly overpriced! Those of us with strict diets must eat safe especially on vacation and while we expect to have to pay more for our dietary needs we at the very least deserve good tasting and fresh food. Avoid this establishment at all cost!
Was excited for gluten free bakery, however not satisfied. Food was ok. Portion size was minuscule. Very over priced. Staff was not happy and only 1 person working. Lady came in and waited and the waitress shouted through “I’m finishing there order” and the lady left. Need more people working.
Yes
The staff wasn’t very nice or pleasant. I bought $35 to try several items and they were all hard and tasted old. The only good thing was the lemon bar and cinnamon roll was ok. I was extremely disappointed and it was more expensive than expected as the $.

We were so excited for 100% GF place in town. Boy what a let down, over priced, underwhelming food with awkward ordering experience.
HORRIBLE SERVICE! The guy working the front looks like a drug dealer. We asked him what he would order and he said, he wouldn’t eat here. Whoever owns this joint needs to fire him. He’s bad for business. The food was OK but the experience of this guy ruins everything.
No
The food was ok, and it’s celiac friendly. That is the only friendly thing about this place. Came in with my husband and two kids and the guy working there treated us with contempt from the moment we walked in. Got a breakfast sandwich with hard, completely not ripe avocado. When I asked if he had any ripe avocado, he said “if I had any I would’ve given it to you.” Every question we asked was answered in a rude, condescending way. We had planned to get treats for our kids to take home with them, but chose not to because we were so uncomfortable the entire time there. And the pastries that we had (cinnamon roll and cherry pie) didn’t taste great. Also, horribly overpriced for the quality of food. Have eaten at many other gluten free facilities, and this had the worst food and service that was even worse.
Yes
This place is dedicated and I can’t do dairy and it was labeled. The downfall was the service of dude who was there who barely could answer my questions. I suspect they have more helpful and knowledgeable people who work there, but he made me nervous with his disinterest in what was in the stuff. I also ordered a sandwich and it was $14 with a roll, and then there was no rolls, then there was no bread (there was a loaf in the case) and so he gave us our money back after terribly communicating it again. So yeah, sucky service, the cupcake I had was decent but something I could make myself.

Good breakfast wrap in its rice tortilla
Chicken pot pie was good
Almond poppy muffing was dry but would make a good scone
Chocolate chip muffin the kids enjoyed
The lemon bar was very good
Nutella on toast: what’s not to like?
The owner was fine with us but he is not much of a socializer if you’re looking for good conversation
The food was horrifically overpriced. $15 for a “loaf” of bread that was dense like a brick and tasted like a failed homemade bread attempt. $16 for a little sandwich on a bread roll. I found the food overpriced and underwhelming.
Yes
Pretty good gluten free on some items- breakfast sandwich, cinnamon roll with icing (if warmed up), muffins ok. Some items are not done so well like the cherry pie. It’s a bit pricey, but an ok spot for the occasional craving.
Yes
Sorta standard fare GF baking and overpriced. The kind of place that gives GF a bad name. Things have come a long way in terms of what’s available out there. This small town spot is kind of stuck in time and not trying much to change.
That said the peanut butter cookie was good and the egg sandwich worked well, just overpriced and the guy working there had zero people skills.
Yes
I have to admit I didn’t actually eat here. I came in and told the cashier it was my first visit and asked for recommendations. His response was so rude I decided to leave. What a bummer.
It's nice to have a place to go to where everything is gluten free. Food was ok but service was awful! Very rude!
Totally dedicated bakery! First time ever being in one. Will come back!
I was apprehensive to go here after reading several reviews about the owner's behavior, however when we went the person at the counter was friendly and polite (I don't know if he was the owner or someone else). We really liked that you can order a customized sandwich. I got mine on the sliced bread which they toasted and my husband got his on the roll. After trying both we agreed that the sliced bread was better, the roll had good flavor but was too thick for our preference. We were so full from the sandwiches that we didn't have room for dessert, but they looked delicious!
Yes
Completely gf bakery. You can order sandwiches but the roll I had it on was tiny and was pricey-$8. It was good though. Got a brownie which was very good and they had a good selection of treats.
Yes
Came here for breakfast 2 mornings in a row because the food was so good!! Even my husband who is not gluten free enjoyed it! Cinnamon roll was amazing and the bread on my sandwich didn’t fall apart! A must try if you’re in the area.
Yes
Is the owner and sole employee hostile, rude, sarcastic and/or standoffish? Yup. Is this the only GF bakery in Monterey? Yup - so I went here 3 days in a row (got all 4 of the above attitudes) when in town for a wedding. Beggars can’t be choosers, right? Breakfast wraps, pb cookie and cinnamon roll were all great. Guy working doesn’t know what lactose is FYI.
Yes
I was shocked at the owners attitude. He seemed disgruntled and indifferent to our patronage. After dropping a knife and using it to cut our bread for our sandwiches we questioned him. He immediately became defensive and sarcastic. Don’t expect anyone other than him spoiling your apatite because he is the only person who works there. I assume that the food is gluten free but you will have a bad reaction to his temper before anything else.
Amazing bakery! We got gluten free breakfast wraps (literally never had one in my life), and muffins and sandwiches to go. A must stop if you’re just passing through to grab something for the road.

I am from ohio and was searching for a good gf treat. the frosted cinnamon roll exceeded my expectations! big selection of yummies. I will be back!
Dedicated gluten free facility. The best cinnamon rolls I’ve had in a long time!
Dedicated GF facility! Awesome breakfast wrap and sandwich, some of the baked goods were tastier than others. Would recommend!

The BEST cinnamon rolls. Great sandwiches. Yummy breakfast burrito. So happy to have a safe option in Monterey. We already have gone twice today. Very nice service!
