The Normal

The Normal is a great little place to get some phenomenal BBQ. Many of the meats are gluten free, as are half of the sides. Adam, the owner, is a great guy and fun to talk to if it’s not packed! He puts a Scandinavian twist on traditional BBQ foods and it’s a delightful fusion in my opinion. He’s also an experienced bartender and all of the mixed drinks are top notch. I am celiac and have never been sick after eating here. My go-to menu items are the pulled pork, smoked cauliflower if it’s in stock, coleslaw, and cucumber salad. My kids hate coleslaw and cucumbers but love his salads. One note: ordering is easier if you have a smartphone, but he has an iPad there if you don’t have one.
