The Pheasant is the best dining in the area.
Most of the menu is gluten-free without substitutions or alterations. They offer many small plates designed for sharing, and a small set of more traditional entree sized options.
On our most recent visit we had a green salad with very fresh veggies, garnished scallops, monkfish in a dashi broth with beans, and a mushroom entree over curried crispy rice. I was eating with a gluten-tolerant friend who had the clam pasta (non-GF) that I’m told was also good.
For dessert a corn cake with pecan praline and sour cherry jam was my favorite of the night.
They pickle several veggies in house that add flavors to multiple dishes — we had pickled celery in the fish and pickled cukes in the mushrooms — and come as a plate of their own. Their dishes often combine multiple flavors so every bite will be a little different.
