Most items are GF, even the fried foods. They are very aware of gluten allergies. Food is wonderful! Make a reservation.

staff was very familiar with celiac, one owner is gf, many gf options and very tasty. First fried shrimp and oysters I've had in 2 1/2 years! Will definitely return next time I'm on the island.

Stopped by for a drink to watch the sunset on the patio. We didn’t actually eat here but the menu looks delicious and most of the customers were locals - always a good sign that the food is good. We were lucky and got to meet one of the owners, Tiana, who told us that most of the menu is gluten free! They have a dedicated fryer so I feel pretty confident it wold be safe to eat here. This was our last night in Port Aransas so we’ll definitely be having dinner here the next time we are n town.

We read the reviews so we're excited to try The Phoenix for our GF son. Two things stood out. 1) way overpriced, 2) why not have a GF French bread? Dishes are $22 on the low end, $30's and $40's for most. Wife got four scallops, mediocre string beans with carrots, rice and a salad for $39. Really?

If you are Gluten Free you HAVE to go here! They can make almost everything on the menu gluten free and were well versed in cross contamination. One of the best dining experiences I've had!

Owner's wife is gluten-free. All fried foods are GF as they use only rice flour and corn meal to bread seafood. Haven't been able to enjoy fries or fried foods? This place is great - food is super tasty, service is friendly. Definitely recommend if you want a taste of fried stuff you can't normally eat when you go out.
