I had the best meal of my life here. Delicious, creative, upscale food with several gluten free options. I have other allergies too and the waitstaff and kitchen were amazing in accommodating me. Highly revommend.

If you are staying at the hotel, they have an amazing GF spread as part of the complimentary continental breakfast: GF muffins, English muffins, dedicated toaster, bagels, oats plus eggs, meats, yogurt, and cheeses. The hotel restaurant has GF pancakes on the breakfast menu.

We stayed at the Bar Harbor Inn for our anniversary. Room service from The Reading Room Restaurant was amazing. Choices clearly marked on menu including dessert option. Had breakfast there also. Lots of gluten free choices again, food was fine. We were told there are gf pancake and waffle options but we opted out and enjoyed the gf English muffins instead.

Ate at the Reading Room today for the first time since diagnosis (but second time eating here) and it was a great experience. I emailed a head of time to let them know about my food allergy when I scheduled my reservation and they answered promptly and made me feel very at ease with eating there. The waitress was very knowledgeable on their gluten free option, and it has been a few hours and I don’t feel any signs of being glutened!
